A fun, social Badminton doubles Tournament to celebrate the StrathACTIVE Programme

To celebrate the achievements of StrathACTIVE, the StrathACTIVE Team will be putting together a fun, social Badminton doubles event open to all Strathclyde Staff and Students to enjoy!
The tournament format will consist of 8-12 pairs (Depending on popularity). Pairs will be split into two groups, and then each team will face off other teams in their group. After completion, the top 2 teams in each group will compete in the Semi finals/ Final.
For some fun, Prior to the tournament each pair will be given a country to represent for the event. As the commonwelath games is upcoming, it will be a nation competing in the games! Participants are encouraged to wear the colours of their nation!
Event Details
Date: Friday 5th June 2026
Time: 12pm-2pm (Event registration from 11:30am up outside sports hall)
Location: Strathclyde Sport, Sports Hall.
Entry: Free of Charge
Entry Requirements: Must be a Strathclyde Student or Staff (This will be checked prior or on the day)
Ticket Information
There will be two types of tickets for this event.
Ticket 1 ( Pair Entry)- Get this ticket if you are entering as a pair. Please ensure that only 1 person from each pair secures a ticket.
Once you have secured your ticket, I will then email you to get in touch with player details and to allocate you your country.
Ticket 2(Individual Entry)- Get this ticket if you are entering as an individual and you will be paired up with another indiviudal.
