Ceilidh
Heel toe, heel toe, hwfg
Strath Cocktail-Mocktail & Mary's Meals Collab!
Live music, ceilidh dancing, face glitter & temporary tattoos, all for charity... what more could you want?
Come along & celebrate the end of the semester & the start of Summer!
What is a ceilidh? (for our international friends)
Ceilidh is Scots Gaelic for party! & that is exactly what it is: a ceilidh (kay-lee) is a traditional Scottish dance. Most dances are with a partner but others are in groups. A ceilidh is a great way to meet new people & it is always a laugh. You don't need to worry if you don't know how to do the dances- our awesome band will be there to give you instructions. Come along & give it a go- you won't regret it!
Mary's Meals VIP (Volunteer Instead of Payment) Scheme
We are very aware that there is a major cost of living crisis going on right now, and while this is a fundraiser, it is also an event that we want to be open to everyone and want everyone to enjoy. If you're keen to come along but can't afford the entry fee, just get in-touch. You can come along as a volunteer (we might ask you for a helping hand tidying up, but otherwise, just enjoy your night!) and no one will need to know any different. There is, of course, no need to be embarassed about struggling financially, but if you are worried, please know we will be super discreet. Just get in-touch at unionsociety-marysmeals@strath.ac.uk xoxo
