Beginner White Water Kayaking
Perfect for first-timers — all kit and transport included!
Ready to take on the rapids? Our Beginner White Water Kayaking Trip is the perfect way to experience the thrill of moving water in a safe, supportive environment. You’ll learn the basics of kayaking — from paddling techniques and river safety to how to read the water — before tackling gentle rapids under the guidance of our experienced instructors.
We provide all the equipment you need, including kayak, paddle, helmet, buoyancy aid, spraydeck and wetsuit. Transport to and from the river is included, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm (and maybe a towel!), and shoes to wear on the water!!!!
Whether you’re looking for adventure, confidence-building, or just a fun day out in nature, this trip is ideal for beginners wanting to get a taste of white water.
Highlights:
Suitable for complete beginners, or more experienced kayakers (provided you've been to two pool sessions)

Refunds are not routine due to the loss of spaces to others and another expenses incurred by the club in planning this trip. Please contact the commitee if you have a reason to be refunded and we will consult with you.

Participants must have Sports Union and Canoe Club membership prior to taking part in the activity.
